My Story
I've Made This Move. Both Ways.
Most career coaches have done one side of the consulting-tech divide. I've done both, more than once.
Deloitte internship in San Francisco to start. Then Oliver Wyman, full time. A tech company through its IPO. A Y Combinator-backed startup. A tech company in its post-IPO growth phase. Then back into consulting at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Now I coach ambitious people making similar moves, and back early-stage founders as an investor.
I've been the person trying to break into consulting. I've been the one at a growing tech company, wanting to build more and test myself in the startup world. And I've been the person who boomerangs back into consulting. I know what each of those moves actually feels like from the inside, not just what they look like on paper.
The pattern is the same every time: get clear on what you want, build conviction before you leap, then position your story so others can see it too. It's behind every move I've made, and it applies to any ambitious career move.
That's the lens I bring to every client conversation. You don't need someone who read about your transition. You need someone who made it.
